I am not very good with figures, not really a fine detail kind of guy (yet), but this one did not come out too bad, I even managed to get some half decent eyes (for me!), and some shading on the clothes, etc.....anyway here are the final pics taken with my...- pjgtech

DH88 Comet bad news
Sad news mate. The audio I used on my recent Comet build (completed YT video) came from an old Shuttleworth YT Vid, featuring the Comet, as I wanted to use original aircraft sounds..... I bet theres not many of them around? -

TBH those photos don't really do it justice, the edge seams on the clothing and the red edges to the hat and shoulder epilettes (sp?), etc really pop a bit more IRL. Will try to get some better pics for the completed thread. The little AK Real Colour paint pens worked great for the little tiny...- pjgtech

Its not fully dry from its final matt coat, but this nice Tamiya figure model is now completed. My aim initially was to do a nice clean look, but after a bit of pondering, it was then changed to give him a sort of grimy look, as I assume being a tank commander/crew, it would be a fairly dirty...- pjgtech

Cool, I always liked IT, yep geeky I know, so taught myself to program at around 17/18 ish, on my first computer (ZX Spectrum 48k) only basic stuff (literally BASIC) and then later did a bit of HTML coding, made a couple of webpages, etc. Now you can do it all without knowing any code at all...- pjgtech

Its a fairly simple spreadsheet TBH, but I ended up doing a separate tab for each manufacturer, as it was getting a bit unwieldy all on the one page! The figure is now fully assembled, and has been fully painted and had a coat of gloss varnish. Tomorrow I will attempt to make things, eg: the little details, etc, "pop" a little more with some subtle weathering, pin washes, etc. Then it will get its final matt coat.... Congrats to your young'n mate, and it sounds like he is doing a "proper" degree, that will actually be useful and may help to get an actual proper job in something worthwhile......and not a "generic" medjia studies type pointless degree, leading to several jobs where the phrase "Do you want... -

I did a training session on pivot tables years ago, it was fantastic, learnt a lot, amazing what you can do with the data and a pivot table,.....but I did not use a spreadsheet for a couple of weeks, and by then I had forgotten all the bloody pivot table training! Doh!- pjgtech
