Hi all

So whilst Junior still shows an interest in what I do hobby wise, he's not dabbled with a kit himself for a good few years - other than Lego - but I'd like share a proud parent moment.

As some of you may have seen it was A Level results on Thursday.....and so was a big day for Junior....yes he is that old!

Junior did a bit of an odd mix of study - a single combined technical engineering course (equivalent of 3 A Levels), plus Maths A level - so the equivalent of four A levels in all. He already knew that he had the top grade possible for his engineering course as their results are out sooner - equivalent of three A* at A Level - and then Thursday found out he'd got a B for his maths.

So in just over a month, he'll be off to uni. The grades meant he could secure a place studying Mechanical Engineering at a Uni that's well in the top 10 in the UK for the subject.

As you can imagine we're very proud of him, especially as neither my wife or I made it to University...so apologies for bragging a bit!!

Congrats to Junior , you must be proud andrew . Good to see the engineering industry is still attracting young people , hes got a bright future there , cheers tony

Congrats to your young'n mate, and it sounds like he is doing a "proper" degree, that will actually be useful and may help to get an actual proper job in something worthwhile......and not a "generic" medjia studies type pointless degree, leading to several jobs where the phrase "Do you want fries with that?" is obligatory. Good on him and wishing him all the best....
