    What a sh*t Week

Hi John, so sorry to hear this news. Hopefully it will be minor or very early stages and/or easily treatable. They seem to be moving things quickly, which is also a good thing generally. Just a side note, my Dad had Prostate Cancer in his 60s, but he did not die until his 90's, and he did not...

Yep, just decided to do a basic build and paint on this one, no weathering, well some very slight chipping to few edges, but thats it. Simple....

AFV Club, Tiger I, Panzerkampfwagen VI, 1:48

This will be in desert sand yellow paint job, just like the other ones, as I want them all to look alike. The kit appears to be nicely detailed and has only a few PE parts, mainly grills, and the horrid rubber tracks, although I've done a few now and I just superglue them together and put a...

AFV Club, Tiger I, Panzerkampfwagen VI, 1:48

I am now on a quest to build many different sized Tigers.....I have already built a 1:144 scale mini tiger, and one of the first kits I built when I got back into the hobby was a little Airfix Tiger in 1:72, so this is the next scale up, a nice 1:48 scale by AFV Club. Then after this one I have...

Completed Westland Lynx (Matchbox - 1:72 scale) Vintage 40+ yrs old!

Here are the final pics, and a short video of the final completed model of the little Westland Lynx Chopper, in its Royal Navy blue livery and decals. I decided on yellow Torps as in a few reference photos I saw the Torps seem to come in many colours, including yellow, and as the rotors have...

    Westland Lynx - Matchbox - 1:72 scale

So finished this little Heli today... It was the day of the dreaded 40+ year old decals, Lol.... They went ok, ish....bearing in mind their age they could have been a lot worse TBH. I did leave them on a window cill for few days, but they were pretty yellowish. A sort of film came off them when...

1/16 figure - Air Transport Auxiliary pilot

Looks a nice model, watching along...I'd be interested in the wet palette stuff too, not yet dabbled in that area, but will do some day....

Masking fluid, how to remove from brush?

So I tried acetone last night and this did seem to get rid of most of it, still bits round the ferrule though. I think I left it on the brush for too long. Luckily these were not expensive brushes, and I have lots of brushes anyway. I'll just have to scratch this one up to experience and learn...

Shout out to Redog Uk - good seller.

I've bought a few items (mainly 1:72 and/or 1:76 scale bits) off Redog UK, both through his online shop and his eBay shop and he has always provided good service. I recently ordered from his ebay shop two small sets of 1:72 sand bags, for my recent WW1 and MK1 Tank diorama, to edge the trench...

Nerdy Scale Model Spreadsheet, what to include?

As per my OP, I have always been pretty IT nerdy. My first computer was ZX Spectrum and I learnt to program BASIC on it, then got into PC's and used to build my own gaming pc's, mod them, speed them (overclocking), etc, played around with installing various OS and programs, etc. So I have used...

    The full skyline collection.

I'm getting like that with Tiger tanks, did a 1:144 one, then a 1:76 one, then I've got two more to do (1:48 and 1:35) so will end up with four, but still not as many as your Skylines, Lol...
