Building a 1930 Bentley blower, After doing several Pochers I decided to do the 1/12 scale , Much harder to do in my opinion.

More progress while waiting for more supplies, After some research of Orig pics I decided to go with a real wood floor ,The frame for the windscreen was so fragile it broke in about 4 pcs. so I made one out of some square brass stock .

I was looking at an original Bentley blower racer pixs and noticed it had a wooden floor .

My brother's 1959 MGA had a wooden floor.

What's w/wooden floors? Morgan, Jag 120? Just curious.

Traditional coachbuilding techniques I think Paul. Morgan’s, and first production run XK 120s have ash framed bodies as well.

Jaguar XK always had a Steel floors and all-steel bodies. They stopped using Ash frames with the MK4 in 48 , Morgans continues using ash as well as MG

I once restored a race prepped 120 to "streetable" condition and it had a wood floor when I got it. I guess for easy access to shifter & trans. I left it as is, just sealed & carpeted it as it fit perfectly.

I used to work with a guy who had a very early XK120 - number 41 I think - and it was coach-built with an ash frame and wooden floor.

I am mistaken (been a long time ) yes the 120 and the 140 had wood floors the 150 was all steel .

making some changes Decided to make my own buckles and tie-down straps .also functioning carb screen .
