I haven't been posting anything for a while now, but I've been busy nevertheless. Since I took quite a liking to 1/144 models and they serve as a good means to practice my skills, I decided to build a small collection of fighter jets on that scale.

So here is my German Phantom F-4F II;

The Mig-29. Great fit and details but the kit dimensions are inaccurate. The only one which I didn't have to scratchbuild the interior or add any other detail (OOB in the technical jargon), except for the harness on the seat. The colours might also not be right, but I like the way it is. It looks quite "Russian" to me.

The Fighting Falcon. Couldn't quite figure out what block is this F-16. Either that or the kit has a terribly funny shape. It was my first attempt at forming a canopy, it's quite thin and shows nicely the cockpit that I scratch built, but the fit isn't perfect. Might correct it some time.

And last my Gulf War Jaguar. I've already posted this one sometime ago, but it was missing the "completed" picture.

So here it is.

There are 5 more coming up soon, an F-14 Tomcat , an F-15 Eagle, a Mig-23 Flogger, a Tornado and an F-104 Starfighter.

Great stuff marcos, quality builds.Cant wait to see the others completed, cheers tony

Those must be three times life-size on my computer monitor and they still look great; nice work. Have to agree with you about the F-16, that's a dodgy looking kit, but even so you've done a lovely job of it. Agree with Tony, looking forward to seeing more.

Nice 'little' collection ! but I think 1:72 is small enough for me..........Hats of for doing 1:44

Regards

Colin M.........

Now they are some nice aircraft for such a small scale, great work and i hope your eyes get better :smile12:

Have fun, John

Hi

Can I ask which brand the Phantom kit was as I am doing my first Forum project on the Airfix Mini Kit and Your phantom looks really great.

I have built the Heller F-14 and it's not bad for such a small scale.

Hope to see the rest of your 1/144th work soon

Jon

Hi, Jon. That Phamtom is an Academy as well as all the others. they're really easy to find around here so I really go for them. It needed some working on seams and adding some details here and there, but patience pays in the end. cheers!

Here are some pictures of the latest builds in 1/144 scale I have done in the past few months. Some of these kits called for a lot of scratch building, like I had to build cockpit interior for each of them. At times I had also to add/modify the weapons load, not to say they are very accurate, but I did it just for the fun of it.

Now you all have seen that F-16 I posted previously and how terrible it looked. Shame! So I decided to get another kit and rebuild it, this time around fixing the nose section into a more recognizable shape. I hope it looks better this time.
