discussion 1/250 Rms Titanic

Yes it's another titanic but this time I am working without proper instructions so I will using all my knowledge from previous builds and some of the plans I have lying around the basic kit is the old hachette part work hence the inaccuracies.
But here's the work so far the basic structure has been finished and I am starting on the well deck walls

Next up is concentrating on the stern adding more walls before adding the first layer of decking and then I can start on the first layer of planking

Slight change of plans as I have now finished the planking and started on the second layer which will have the portholes in.
But as I have now found 100 magazines from a certain online auction site but it came with a complete finished Hull and I must say a lot better than I could ever do so do I carry on or use the new Hull as I have enough parts to do both but if I can get Olympic name plates done that's what I will be doing.

Not much time to post anything at the moment but here's an update I have finished the planking and the second layer I have got color on and started on promonade deck walls.
I have been toying with the idea of lighting up the lower Hull.

Yes I believe she was on the Olympic when it hit hms hawke and survived titanic and britannic sinkings

That’s the one, it all happened in about three years. She spent the next thirty years continuing as a steward on liners. I don’t know about you Peter, but I think I would have found a land job These days she could probably make a fortune by making White Star pay her to stay off its liners....

More work done this time around I have all walls on promonade deck finished and decorations in place.
I have the last four deck pieces fitted that now forms the boat deck and I have started on the boat deck buildings.

Today I am starting on the wheel House and I will be replacing the wood and card original kit one with PE replacement and also I have enough spares that I can have a compass and wheel inside as well.

As this is going to Rms Olympic it a slightly easier build as it eliminates the front third covered promenade deck but here's how it looks like now

Just had a dive into all my metal parts and pulled out all that needs to be painted black.

I am starting on the smaller parts of the build and I have added the crane bases and wing bridge walls and also the bits and bollards on the fore and poop decks

More updates I have been putting some etched detail on the Hull and I have fitted all the benches started on the life boats and added the aft railings.

I have decided to start with the funnels and as they came already built its saved some time.
So starting with filling. And painting and some of the steam pipes attached.
And the finished number one funnel. And the plans I am working from.
