Well this is the finished result. Generally speaking this has been a good build. The only extras I added was seat harnesses. Decals were up to Revells usual standard a little on the thick side but conformed well to panel lines with the help of decal soft. All comments welcome.

Beautiful crisp build Vaughan, it looks superb. The subtle weathering is spot on (i particularly like the chipping on the undercarriage doors leading edge and the port wing root) The yellow is nice and opaque , not easy by any means! The photography and lighting are excellent too , great job , cheers tony

Thanks Guys, John I would got out and buy yourself one.. Tony I've invested in a couple of soft box lights and tri-pods off Amazon about £45 plus a A1 sheet of white artist card. I take all my build photos with my Samsung phone but use my Olympus OMD E-M5 for the final shots. In some respects I get a sharper photo from the phone which generally over processes the images but you can't beat a proper camera.

Vaughan, you made a good choice going for the yellow nose scheme, it really looks very nice on the Mustang. Excellent build all round, and glad to see you back at the bench

That looks great. Lovely paint job and weathering.
Looks like My stash might need one of those...... After I make some room.

Top job Vaughan.

Brilliant result, really nice. And the photo's. Grabbing a pic or two of something this size isn't an easy thing to do.

Great work Vaughan, a proper lighting setup makes all the difference doesn't it

looks brilliant, gives Tamiya a run for their money when it comes to being on a budget

Thanks guys, yes lighting really makes a difference and not too expensive. I know Revell have come on leaps and bounds in the last few years and you can certainly get good results. Maybe one day I will save up the pennies and splash out on a Tamiya model but three Revell kits for the price of one Tamiya is a bit of a no brainer.

This looks great, Vaughan. It's a really striking colour scheme with its mix of NMF, Olive and invasion stripes, and the paint chipping seems spot on to me. I too noticed the photos with the clean white background and lack of harsh shadows, so it was interesting to read how you made them
