I made and fitted the handrail today and started some of the painting.

The interior walls are definitely WIP, I'm finding them quite tricky. I guess I should have sealed them up better as they are just absorbing paint. Still early days though :smiling3:

The floor came out quite well I think. It had a wash of the grey mixed with burnt umber and while still wet I blobbed various browns, black and green here & there and wet blended them in. I may give it another round of that tomorrow.

Thanks Tim and Steven. A long way to go yet but starting to take shape.

Thank you for the continued support gents.

I'm currently tearing my hair out painting the blocks one by one lol. Nobody warned me about that! :smiling5:

Flat brush the same size as the blocks....should do then in one stroke then.....still a really tedious job though. Rough stone is worse, can’t use a flat brush so each one takes ages :loudly-crying:

Hi Andy
As always neat and well thought out. Really starting to look the part. As Steve said earlier the amount of detail - clutter and odds and sods - you can add to something like this gives scope to really go to town.

Tim, I think you underestimate how ham-fisted I can be with a brush :smiling5:

Thanks Jim. For a change I have loads of ideas in mind for this, I just need to keep focussed and not get distracted by shiny new kits!

If you stuck up some signs and posters you only have to paint what you see :smiling:

That's part of the plan Gary, but I haven't found quite what I'm looking for just yet.

You'll 'need' a framed picture of Adolf - think that there was a law that his picture was to be displayed in all work places?

Getting somewhere with the walls. I'm doing it in stages so that it doesn't drive me up the, erm, walls. A bit of artistic license rather than realism, but I like it so far

I scratched a ladder for access to the toilet roof / junk storage area

Built an additional workbench with similar dimensions to the kit one, and assembled the shelving racks, bending/sagging a shelf, because there's always at least one.

And I've made a start on the toilet area, scratching a door and using scribed plasticard to simulate tiles. Flooring to be decided.

At LEAST one. Excellent, a wood bench for "dry work" & a metal bench for "wet Work". PaulE

Thank you all for the great comments.

I'm having real fun with the extra bits and feel like I've only scratched the surface so far. Plenty more to come I hope.
