Good progress Andy. Looks to be quite fiddly at times.
Yes, there are more than a few fiddly bits to deal with. I know I sometimes moan about tiny, fiddly bits but it keeps the concentration sharp and the time passes quickly.

A look at how things are going, wheels just loosley fitted along with a bit of superstructure but still a lot of small parts to fit. You have to be careful as so many parts of this model are interactive so must be fitted in the correct order which makes it a bit slow. I have spent ages trying find a way to make hinges so I can have the cab doors open or closed but have not figured it out yet. The method usually used for cars does not work as there is no clearance between the door and the front panel of the cab, any ideas from you guys would be a great help.

Looking good so far Andy.

I can't help with the doors but I do have a couple of reference photos from when I started a scratch build version of this, if they are any good to you.

I have used cellophane tape in the past for a live hinge.

Thanks for the offer Andy but I have loads of stuff on the real thing, youtube is full of Kamaz rally video.

Not quite finished the build yet but spent some time with rather large decals today.

And some small ones.

Took fully half an hour to do that seat, only another two to do.
The large panel in the first picture is the one I will have to cut if I want the sides to open, and I want them to open. New task for me as I have never cut a panel that has decals on before, although I did have a try with a spare bit of flat plastic with a couple of old decals applied to it and it cut OK so here's hoping.

Seats in and roll cage installed now I can start building the cab around that.

And no, it is not primer it is the light grey called for in the instructions.

Well, I think that went quite well although I must admit there was a bead or two of sweat on my forehead as if I had damaged the panel/decal the truck may well have ended up in the bin.

Fits together nicely.

After I put the decal on I gave it a good dose of Micro Sol and left it for a few days to properly settle down which seems to be the way to go, just got the other one to do now.
