Thanks guys... I purchased a prop the other day that i think would do the job. Unfortunately it will need a lot of work to get it to look right. First job was to sand all that varnish and lettering off. I intended to do a frame shot of every stage but the staining seems to take forever to get down to the color I'm looking for so ill jump a few, stain, dry, wire wool and stain again. The original has two tones in color, the outer most parts being darker, I will show this as i progress.

These pictures show the inner most color and now i need to tape off the prop to take the darker parts.

This update deserves its own special post. Here you will see the most personal and important piece of the whole project. It was art work that i wanted that makes this project personal to me and states all it is about and its reason for construction.

Special thanks goes to MORIARTY1177 for producing this artwork for me and for the cracking job he did in getting it to me so quickly. Thanks Chris, it meant a lot to me for you to do these.... they look perfect!!
