I built this a few years ago, and have never been overly happy with it. It's the Classic Airframes kit, which was a challenge to begin with, but I put way too much flat varnish on it and the whole model looks... well, flat somehow. Still, here it is FWIW (I'm photographing some of my older models before I discard them).

That is brilliant..... Your builds are always first class, love 'em

Great job mike , it looks fine to me .the finish is spot on . I built the smer kit of this classic aircraft but I bet it wasn't half as detailed as this ( although of course it was only a few quid !! ). One thing I'm curious about is the winglets on the ailerons , your kit doesn't have them but mine did ( even though I had to scratch replacements because the kit versions were unusable !!) I wonder if they weren't fitted to all the models ? . great job . cheers Tony

I think they are there, but I'm no expert.

I like this I've never seen one before but it looks an interesting plane wish I could mess up finishes to that standard:rolleyes:.

Dave

For someone as yourself Mike, it isn't the best finish, down to the fact you're a top modeler. To me, a layman, I would give my back-teeth to create something like this. Shame your getting shut, are you selling/giving away to make room?

Si:)

Awesome work Mike, I love these Italian fighter biplanes and this one has come out tops. Discard = sell I hope and not the alternative!

Wow you really gonna bin that Mike ? It looks far too nice to just toss out.

Surely you mean sell them on eBay or similar? Especially at that standard

As ever I'm jealous of the quality of your paintwork Mike! Do you work in a hermetically sealed room?!

Brilliant stuff :)

As usual Mike,a beautiful model, wish I could build one to that standard and feel dissatisfied.

John

Some day in 30 years I'll reach that painting skill..

For now I just need to find beter tactic to remove any rubish that sticks to my moel while airbrushing:)

Top build!

That is what most of us aim for in a finish lol.

A lovely camouflage as well.

As many others have said I hope you are selling and not binning them. I know we can't all keep everything we build, but I for one could not part with that.

That reminds me. Must buy a new air rifle lol

Looks like not many people agree with you about 'flat', Mike! Beautifully made and finished.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. I've not been able to bring myself to actually trash it, so I may consider putting it on eBay; not sure how I'd pack it though!

Poly beads, as in a bean bag chair. Great for packing built kits in. Dont for get to fill any openings with a bit of foam.

The buyer will be picking poly beads out of the thing for years!!
