Hi
Thinking its time for some more aircraft practice. As it the end of my furlough I will need to slow down a bit :) maybe it will let me pay more attention to details during next build.
Let me know what you think.

Thanks
Matt

Looks great Matt. Is the base bought or DIY?

Thanks great!...…I built that recently and opened the wind brakes... I also cheated on the aircraft number '409'.

...I retire from the Police this month and my shoulder number was '640'....

Hi Del
That looks great, hope it will be bringing you only the good memories.
Matt

Glad you attached it to the "Fighting I"........served on that ship in '72 & '73. She was decommissioned upon our return to Norfolk Va. She's now a floating Museum in New York.....hope to visit someday. Great build Maciej, and thanks for jogging my memory. Rick H.

Hi Rick
Thanks and I'm glad that with this build I could bring back some of your memories. Not knowing a lot about this ship I had to read a lot about her and what a great history, unfortunately I couldn't find good pictures of landing deck so I decided to combine two different types. As I'm planning to do some similar projects in the future do you mind if I ask you some questions when ready for build?
Thanks
Matt

I spent a lot of time on the flight deck Maciej. I also have a book on the Essex Class Carriers that might help........when you are ready to start your projects just send me a PM and I will hopefully have what you need.
Rick H.

Don't think you could do any better detailing Maciej, those decals on the prop are just perfect , so well placed as are the others. Weathering with the exhaust marks looks perfect.

Rick, thank you.

Superb build matt , the paint job and weathering are fantastic . I really love the look of the skyraider , especially in the hi viz navy schemes , cheers tony

Very nice work Matt, suitably weathered and great to have a piece of flight deck to show it off from :thumb2: :thumb2:
