Started this excellent 3d Printed bust of Sam Elliotts character Shea Brennan in the Paramount tv show - '1883'
Face was base coated in Acrylics and then the oils were painted in. spent 18hrs in the dryer and then a couple of tints with Barok red and Indigo blue, hair started black, then a yellow tint, followed by a very diluted coat of white oil paint, eyes have to be worked on, pretty happy with the way he is going.

Really happy with how this has turned out, slight panic and WTF moment - put on a coat of my usual Matt Varnish (AK Ultra)on his head only for it to bleed out the colour on his face - think i have managed to rectify it. Scarf and jacket painted and blended on the bust using Scale75 Tube acrylics. Shirt in oils, hat next;

WOW

Looking superb Steve, figures, busts etc are something that a lot of modellers struggle with, me included. I think though, you have done exceptionally well mate.

That's looking great, Steve.

These character busts seem really tricky to me - first you have to select a bust that actually looks like the person being portrayed (often they don't, it clearly isn't easy, just look at the mess Madam Tussauds sometimes makes!) and then you have to retain and enhance that similarity via the paint job.

That's certainly what you've done - this unquestionably looks just like Mr Elliott!

And I do love the restraint handling that scraggy neck, and the textures of the jacket are great, too.

I have no idea of who or what this bust represents but I just think it's a most excellent exemplar - well done mate!

That’s very kind of you to say

Brilliant never watched the show but just taking it as a bust its a fantasticly rendered subject. Dave
