Hi guys after 2 months solid work I have finished building the French 52 cm railgun there is still a few more details to add. This was the largest calibre rail gun built by any army in w w 1 and was used by Germany in the siege of Leningrad.
I decided to have it on a winter dio as depicted at Leningrad and started applying a disruptive whitewash to one side, after painting the camo all day decided it was too disruptive and washed, it leaving it in grey.
will send more on full size gun when dio finished. The model is 17 inches long.

Amazing work Barry!

I love the paintwork too. Who'd have thought boring old grey could have so much variety.

Nice

will you be dry brushing it slightly to bring out the rivet detail?

is the end of the trunnion an Esci panzer iv wheel half by any chance?

That is Gorgeous! I have a 1/87 scale K5 I must pull out and do one of these days.....these big guns just cry out for details and a diorama
to show them off. Thanks for posting this Barry. Rick H.
