1/87 Scale Red Ball Express Dio

Dammn that is a loads of a lot of stuff and vehicles...l'm always amazed when u do your dioramas with tons of vehicles

Hi Paul
Loads look good. As Steve says "12500 tons a day" so every truck must have been fully laden.

Steve, bake stuff in a bunt pan, then dump it out on a plate let it cool a bit then slice to taste. Yummy.
Dzohn, book wasn't great, but the only one I'd come across that discussed it in any depth. Was that the 50s movie or a U-tube?
Working Maint. & Recovery elements.
Paul It was actual film from the time shot by some filming unit., saw it on U tube.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjAjBJ51dCY&ab_channel=ArmyDiversity.

Thank you gentlemen.
I'll check it out Dzohn.
Rick, tops (w/bungs) are to the right awaiting assy.
Tim, all leftovers from the RR, this is a test fit, some painting work remains. I may install some underlayment to simulate another layer of load where there's room.

Here are the candidates for the dio except the MP jeep which is on its' way.

Another distraction. While looking for load material found this incomplete 2 ton trailer project to carry the high output generator I built when I did the other trailer I built to carry the heavy Smoke Generator.

Working this trailer while waiting for P47 pilot & MP Jeep to arrive. I wanted a 1/87 US airplane overflying the dio but $40 was too steep for questionable quality. Modifying the wings for a 'wheels up' pose is a pisser as the pilotless model wants 'wheels down'.

Paul,

Just had a bit of a catch-up.

They're all coming on very nicely indeed. Yet again great work.

ATB.
