Nice job on him. The blazer has come out particularly well.
Quite a joyful figure. Released as the entry freebie 80th anniversary tribute for the Battle of Britain at the Salute wargames show in 2020 if you weren’t aware (though you probably are because it’s on the base) . The show was cancelled due to covid, and ran at the ExCel exhibition Center in London a year later…..so the 80th anniversary figure was given as a freebie at the show in 2021. I did him as an SBS on here a little while ago, but I think it’s one of those threads on which the pictures have been thumbnailed. He’s a little bigger than 28mm though. I thought he was closer to 40mm because, being a kid not an adult, he isn’t full grown.
Looks great indeed, nice work![]()
Thank you Tim. Yeah I think it's too big to be a 28mm figure. Was an enjoyable challenge. The familiar sombre feeling upon completion is now upon me! Now that it's finished I feel a bit, what now? Etc. It's hard to explain but it's an ambivalent sensation of satisfaction and melancholy! G
Cool, nice one, looks good.![]()
That is excellent. Well done on something so small.
This is a lovely little figure, and you've done it proud.
My guess is that most of us on here remember playing with our Airfix models just like this, in school uniform, more years ago than makes us entirely comfortable!
