So the young lady indoors & I have been together for 51 years today.

Is that a record on this forum ?

She is still in charge (or so she thinks !).

Great cook & she looks after me. She also like me. What more could a man ask for ?

Congratulations laurie, 51 years is a credit to you both by todays standards.

I managed 10 (ish) years and four children before it dissolved to the state where we ended up just "living" together, and that was twice/three times as long as some of my friends.

I've been with my new lady for three years now and sometimes wish i'd met her first, the downside to that would be that we wouldn't have the 6 children from previous marriages we have now .. cos basically they're brilliant :) :)

I've only got a mug of coffee available at the mo but i've raised it in a "miles apart" toast to you and your young lady :)

Congratulations Laurie.

Coincidentally, I am currently feeling the effects of our 25th Anniversary party, which was last night.

Congratulations to you as well Tony.

How about a photo of the blushing brides then?

Congrats Tony only 26 to go to beat my record.

Pauline was impressed by your response. She said you must be very nice people.

This shocked me & I soon put her straight on that point !

Olie with your work place not sure how you have made it so far.

So Ian much against my better judgement here it is. The bride of course of 51 years ago has suffered by living with the groom all those years. I have suffered from her excellent cooking. Believe it or not I weighed 8stone 13 pounds on the wedding day. Now I weigh 13 stone 8 lbs or near. And that is a fact.

Congratulations to both of you ! so whats the secret laurie , I find that letting them think theyre in charge works fine ( i do this by a cunning process of doing exactly what im told !!!!LOL) cheers tony

Thanks again chaps. So you are getting there Steve. Keep at it.

Yes very happy Colin thanks.

Tony : what is the secret ? Blimey not got a clue. Think when she gets annoyed with me I take no notice. When I get annoyed I just think of the next dinner dodge into the garage & work on my model.

Na not any of that after 51 years (along time is it not ?) you just know each other so well & carry on. Have to admit that at times when Pauline gets annoyed with me I go off & have a real chuckle. Also when you have four great children & four great grandsons you have built a a great foundation.

That is a wonderful photo. You do indeed look very happy.

I am a mere beginner as I have only been together with my Carina for 18 years, only the last eleven of which we have actually been married.
