A last minute entry to Bob's G.B. Thanks Bob! I finally found the lost sprue shot!

This will be a bit of a fun quicky, so don't blink or you'll miss the build.....

Here's the original Airfix six kit box.

The chosen one.

A very old kit with few parts.

Decals.

There you go.
As I wrote, it's a fun build. ending in a finish......fit for a poorly detailed kit. ;)

NOT in someone's swimming pool like the last rally car I built!

Cheers.

No fear of being splashed so I'll sit at the front.
I'd be careful if I was you Jim! Just 'cos Ron says it ain't goin' into a swimmin' pool, that don't mean it won't end up in a canal or muddy ditch! You know 'ow Ron likes 'is water!

I'm in Ron, but I have to run down to the €1 store and grab me a rain poncho or something...I just hope you ain't finished with it before I get back, at the rate you build things!!!

Thanks for the most excellent starter posts chaps. All good stuff. :thumb2:

Thanks also to Paul for the decals 'Heads Up', much appreciated. I well remember the decals from the car in the swimming pool build!

But by the time I've finished with this brute, there won't be much to see of them!

Thanks again chaps......

I've added the wheels to the floorpan and after seeing the price of a couple of 'Pilots' in this scale, I nicked a couple of 1/48 sodjer torso and heads from my spares bin.

The figures will hardly be seen, so they will do. "Elementary my dear Watson!"

I've started to brush on some paint too.

Gentlemen you are too kind. Personally, I think it's as rough as a bears a***.

However, the finished veehikal needs to be nothing better... ;)

Sorry Mick, no goldfish in a plastic bag this time.

Using Vallejo Air, I've brushed on the three main body shell colours and some black for the door posts and internals. As usual complete with some brusherofferable dust!

I got my poncho from the €1 store Ron, so you can go crazy now. I like the French Tricolore paint job and just maybe this build is for the Olympic games in Paris? Any chance you're gonna park this baby in the Seine and pollute the water even more???...Just a thought..........

Great posts boys, but I can't for the life of me even begin to think that water in any form might, will. or could be involved....... ;)

Job done.

Sorry about the abruptness of the build, but there wasn't much to the kit worth showing.

All round excellent fit. Especially the all one piece glazing part. You can see it one the instructions. It slotted in first time.

As usual, brush painted.
Around 24 bits, so as I wrote a very quick build....

As expected, very poor decals, but not bothered one jot because......

Great work Ron, but knowing you, I’m not sure that that’s it. You’ll end up showing us later on in the race, after a difficult corner on its side in a muddy ditch.
