Of course, there are many coincidences!!

Personally I haven't any preference on the markings, so if the Typhoon builders want to talk about it, we can build the different versions. The same on the Spitfire, Hurricanes and others if you are agree between all you.

I know, every modeler has his "rate/rhythm", but my suggestion is don't lose the opportunity to share advices and tips on the firsts construction steps ;)

I like the idea of doing a squadron of spitfire.

I'm not an expert here and I wonder if there is any with enough pics of different planes? If not available we could have a decals sheet printed.

Something like this?

For those of us with the MVb Gift Set (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Airfix-A50141-Memorial-Supermarine-Spitfire/dp/B005SPU69W/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1417126816&sr=8-7&keywords=airfix 1:24), this has separate Decals for the RF and the D. So we'd just need to source and A, B, C etc depending on how many of js are using that kit...

Or maybe the initial of our names, I'd be M, you'd be F etc...

So I've just checked my box of the Spitfire Mk Vb cheapo Gift Set that a lot of people have picked up for bargain basement prices. It's HUGE!! Like oh my god where the hell am I going to put that, huge!!It's also clearly an old kit, nice panel detail that one can work with, but there is a fair bit of flash and the mould doesn't have that quality Airfix New Tool look to it.

I still plan on popping into Hobbycraft to see if they'll do a Hurricane for bargain prices as was picked up in Basingstoke. So at the moment, I'm Spit Vb.

But watch this space!
Mick all the airfix 1/24 scale bar the new typhoon have flash , warps , gaps , twists , and every other thing you can mention bad in a kit but with filler, superglue and patience they do look fantastic when complete :)

When I find a plane I will join in, if I can build a whole year on it, I can probably finish it:rolleyes:

Never done a plane before:( so I am some what of excited to build one.

Cheers Richi

Richard the best thing about 1/24 is there so big it's hard to get wrong with no fiddly bits and pieces that spring out of the tweezers and enter orbit :D

I've just spent 30 minutes recovering a tiny clear part that is the tiny light of the nose of a Hawk.

I am looking forward to working with parts I can see!!!

Seeing as this is a year long adventure can you do more than one build ?
You can build as many as you like. Just in each their own thread. Aide has said he will be building three...

That would have been a good idea if we were all building the same aircraft...

I will be building mine in the kit supplied decals .Dont see the point in buying another sheet as the Airfix ones are rather good.
