It's a year, since I, and quite a few others found sanctuary here, after the demise of our previous home............
I have to say, that it was a good thing to happen. The welcome received was warm, and friendly. The wider range of model subjects particularly was stimulating, especially in areas where I had no contact!
The mature, and considerate behaviour of the members contributes in a huge way to the enjoyment I feel when reading posts.
Thanks to John, the administrators & moderators I think we all should be proud of the way the forum has developed - and I hope will continue in the future..............

Well said Dave and thank you for the thumbs up to the Admin and mods.
A Year has indeed passed and the new members have settled in well. And as much as you have found other genre outside your normal comfort areas a chunk of the 'old boys' have also gotten much from the more military orientated influx. But.
Yes there is a but. As it has now been a year and all have settled and all that, can we now drop the constant references to Mil mod? It is gone. It ain't coming back no matter how much it meant to you all. I know that it was an upheaval for you all.
You are all now Well and truly SMS'ers

Blimey! A year! Well that has whizzed by. I must be having fun here. Couldn't have said it any better Dave. Many more years to come

Have you baked an anniversary cake for us all Dave?? :thumb2::smiling5:

Steve,
sadly, cake is not on my menu. I don't think I have had cake more than a dozen times in the last 20 years! - I'm diabetic, and tight control on sugar consumption is part of my strict regime - so no cream cakes, no cakes of any sort - I don't miss them now - at least not until someone reminds me..................

Sorry mate!

Mr. John Race is in charge of lighting the candles on the cake...after all he is the pyro tech here.

Yes Joe and he does it with such FLARE...uses a BL**DY flamethrower! Cheers Mates be a year in June for me...little early yet.

Don’t have John light the candles!!!! I just became a member and I don’t want him to burn the site down!

Rick, I’ m glad that I’m going to be standing far enough away from the bloody flamethrower.. that JR will probably use..I don’t have enough hair left to singe but I don’t need a sunburn either

So am I Joe, I remember the last time he tried to simulate "burnt plastic" !!!!

"CRIVENS" a year already, still it's been a good year and as said in a previous post the broad range of subjects modelled makes for an interesting forum, Thanks for the welcome and I'm glad to be here.

cheers
Ross

Crikey :surprised: - it is a year. Would never have thought it if anyone had asked

Still here so looks like you are stuck with me for the foreseeable future

No cakes for me either like Dave :disappointed2:

Simon, you're sweet enough just the way you are!!:tongue-out2::tongue-out3::tongue-out:LOL Happy Anniversary by the way.
Cheers, Rick H.
