Blimey mate - you and yours are certainly in the wars at the moment! Hope Jen recovers well, (and before you go off the rails with your new-found freedom!)

Chris, I'm really sorry for Jen. I hope she'll recover soon. :sad-face:
Cooking, to me, is very similar to modelling: you have several pieces (ingredients) you're supposed to clean and then put together in the correct sequence following the instructions (recipe), add some custom bling (ingredients not in the recipe but that you like), let it cure (cook) for the right amount of time, put on a base/dio (dish with some vegetables, sauce or whatever you like) and then eat it. Don't forget thinners (water, beer, wine) and to clean the working station before SWMBO decides that is your ankle that deserves to be broken. :rolling:

Andrea
HI Andrea im hopeless in the kitchen an readin recipes again im hopeless at them as its like destuckions i cant remember what ive read in the last line before i go to the next as a guy on here who has sadly passed away simon worked me out as i ues to talk to him about his girl figure an a big crazy wabbit that she had on her back an he said to me chris i think you are dilixit whatever that means but i think its something how i spell an lay out my sentances but i think he was right as when i check through i find i miss no end of letters or even words that ive missed out so usein a cook book no way boyo an you say she may think its my ankle that deseves to be broken well i think she'd try for my neck lol :rolling: :flushed::smiling::smiling:

I'll try to find some 'easy' recipes for you to try - must admit that during winter we usually have a large pan of soup on the go - so first 'recipe'!!
500g diced beef, and chopped veg (turnip, swede, carrots, leeks, potatoes, parsnips, onion - pretty much anything) add whatever herbs and spices you find in the cupboard and you feel like - I usually cook the meat in a frying pan with about a quarter of a bottle of cheapest red wine (rest goes into the pan with the veggies) put it on low power (usually for us it's set at '2') leave it gently bubbling away for at least 8 hours/overnight - any more only improves it.

Well I was going to say eggs are easy, I think I will stay quite.
Being on the coast (if I remember correctly) you must have a good fish and chip shop not to far away.

OH YEA Ian we got three fish an chips shops so thats where i will go jen says go easy on the money

One of the things I miss the most. A good chippy. Here we can get breaded flatfish fillets and chips. But not anything that come close to a good bit of Battered Cod and propper chip shop chips. Mind you the chips we do get are good, just not the same though.

Our Dottie brought in a mouse a few days ago…..dropped it, and it wasn’t dead. Obviously it then ran off when she looked around to get her praise for such a lovely “gift”. We have been unable to catch the little beast. It’s been behind the mascerator in the downstairs loo, and behind all the boxes in the understair cupboard. We think it’s currently living behind the kitchen units. She’ll get it before me I’m sure, I’m just not fast enough :flushed:
