Neil - I will, I will I will....

Richard - Threatening me with Matron works!

John - Glad you like how he's going.

Morning Peter

The rain has arrived, just as I was going to mow the lawn!

Shame LOL

Achilles really does look haunted after your touch ups, nice work.

And your metal work is, as always, superb!

One day, I'll have to try the Day masterclass in ancient metal!

Have a good day with all the leatherwork

Morning Steve - We had another really hot one yesterday, but this morning it's raining and much, much cooler - such a relief.

Glad you like Brad so far. On to the torso today and a similar treatment for the armour, with a splash of colour added elsewhere. Looking at film stills it appears that the chest and shoulder armour is made of metal, witha leather undergarment underneath.

Hi Peter
That looks excellent and as has been said your painting of metallics is exceptional.
Jim

I agree with the gents. And indeed, as Jim says, those metallics really look good. Something I find to be very hard to get right. But as we know you have mastered that dark art as well ^^.

Cheers

Jim - Thank you.

Wouter - Thanks also. The thing about using metallic paints is that they do a lot of the work for you re. light and shade.

Jason - I've mentioned the colours above, all Vallejo Model Colour. The good thing about them is that they can be mixed with each other or any other colour.

Scottie - Thank you.

Tim - Well. I'm always jealous of your work....

Morning Peter

Great progress despite the weather

The wet, wild and windy storm arrived yesterday and is still lurking this morning!

Lovely metal work and right you are with the metal bolero style thingy? and a leather under..........thing.

Looks like the bust will be finished today?

At least your paints will be easier to use in the cooler weather.

Time to find my brushes too!

Have a good day finishing Achilles

Steve - Lovely cool weather and free-flowing paint! Hopefully, I will finish him today and then on to Hector. Hope the paint flows for you too....

Wouter - Thanks for looking in that man.

One Brad Pitt as Achilles:

I had intended to have the shield at the front if it turned out well enough, but in the end I was slightly disappointed with the finish so I put it at the back after all. Moving the shield would have meant mounting the sword separately, so I remodelled it and put it in a scabbard, ready for hanging on the strap at the back. With the change of plan, I mounted it at his side, which is after all the correct Greek style.

On to Eric now, which scares me no end.....
