Looking for advice on a work platform for painting and assemble. Turn table?
To cover most scales including Warships etc. Places to get one from, prices etc.
Thanks Steve.

don't laugh, but i got a turntable form a charity shop; it was part of a rotating cake stand, it works and only cost. £1.

Ebay or amazon varies sizes mine was advertised as plant pot bases so you can turn for pruning bonsai trees etc, not expensive.

Ikea - very cheap (about a tenner) and loads of wood to sand down in the future! I've had mine for several years and I can still rotate when I come home from the pub (by accident, obviously)!

A turntable for painting is a good idea but for assembly?
There are a good few "holders" that can be adjusted to many sizes and shapes.
Ships are easier to pick up and turn around. A turntable would require a lot or space.
I have a Tamiya set that covers most needs and a plate type turntable. TBH I dont use them that much any more.
I got them from the "forums shop"

Like Ian I have a plate type and the Tamiya set, and don’t really use either much, certainly not for assembly.
If you need something bigger, look for cake icing accessories or lazy Susans. I also have a twelve inch diameter wooden Lazy Susan from IKEA (sounds just like Steve’s) that I use for scrub cleaning second hand vinyl records, but as good sources of cheaper second hand vinyl have dried up I don’t use that very often either :disappointed2:
