I have been self employed for 10 odd years now since both my wife and I were retrenched from our jobs at the same time. Sometimes it is extremely difficult, but amazingly every time when things are at it lowest an opertunty opens up.
I know what it is like to have no job, with a family to look after, anything you get is a bonus and the best part is that it puts you in a better frame of mind- this somehow makes you see potential better as you are not totally fucused on day to day survival.

well done, I have been out of work and it's hard going, losing motivation etc... I'm sure you will love having more people around and something to focus on outside of hobbies etc...
