As I couldn't find a section to put this build in as completed I hope nobody minds it being here as it is related.

This is the access platform I have been working on. It is scratch build with styrene and wire. The only kit bits are the wheels wich were taken from an old aircraft engine trolley.

Looks good, most impressed as its a scratch build.

Have you thought about just dry brushing a little silver on the centre of the treads to simulate wear?

Very impressive .Though if it was one of my company's stands you'd need to beat the hell out of it with big hammers and drive a tractor into it a few times to make it look realistic!.As a piece of well cared for military equipment it looks right to me.
