I like it Alan, it's the closest you're gonna get to airbrushing with a hairy stick!Now just leave it for a week for the oil paint to dry

I like it Alan!! This oil colour looks really good I think much better than an acrylic....

That is looking great Alan. There were a could of already made 1/24 planes in a Charity Shop in my local town, these aren't as big as I first thought, looking forward to building mine, your tips are a great help to all of us doing this plane for the SIG, thanks for documenting it!!

thanks for that Mike I just do the basics in getting around problems and they work but if you spend a bit more effort like most do on here you'd never know they had any problems at all

I managed to get the rest of the camo on last night , oil paint is good, if you do get a finger print on the paint it easily brushes out and that can be hours after it's been applied

Ok now it's all dry ive put a clear gloss varnish and as soon as that is dry which doesn't take long the decals can go on and then once that's dry a matt varnish then subtle weathering View attachment 95046

Decals now finished on the top side and now it's looking like a spitfire I think I'm going to leave it now so the micro-sol can do its work and see how many bubbles I have to prick as this is rivet city and I just know I'll need one or two more goes View attachment 95070
