All clamped up. From here I carefully moved the it to the window sill for a gentle bit of heating, just to relax that top wing.

As Pete says, right here in the shop. I had heard of them some time ago but only got my hands on them a few days ago. They seem really good. There's no screw thread, they just work on friction alone, but are still very easy to use. These are the 80mm ones.
