Cheers lads, you might want to watch through your fingers, though....

It is a lovely little kit, especially for the money. And the fact it was used by so many aerobatic teams means I might and buy a few more wholesale!!!

Nice kit, you make me want to go out and buy one.

Nice work. It's strange, looking at your pics, Airfix plastic is so distinctive. I like it.......

looks good to me Neil, and the pilot is really well painted.

Agree, that pilot looks very well done. Nice start Neil. I'm watching your build.

Quick update. The big bits are on, and the first flight taken ;) Needed a few bits of filler here and there, the stuff on the underside mainly due to me hacking the flaps out.

A bit strangely, on both the airbrakes and the opening panels under the cockpit at the root of the wings, I found one side fitted seamlessly, the other with noticeable gaps....

Hi all. Finally got some paint onto this, though I'm not too happy with the result. I'd picked up some Tamiya rattle cans for this build before I got my airbrush, and although they seem to be a very good colour match for the decals, I've had to go quite heavy on the application to get good coverage. The upshot of this is that some of the detailing has got quite soft, the canopy framing is too heavy and I've a couple of lovely ridges along the demarcation lines.

Anyway, I shall press on and see how it works out. The good thing is that I haven't spent loads on it, and I've learnt to reserve rattle cans for my F1 builds!!!
