Cheers TonyGreat paintwork Joe
Cheers Jim. Hate painting them but they do add contrast to an otherwise common scheme.Bit late seeing this. Sorry Joe. Really neat build set off by a very nice paint job. Always like to see Invasion Stripes.
Yep, decals next once I get to spend time on it again.Lovely job Joe. Decals next?
You werent tempted to do invasion stripes in the living room then ?Yep, decals next once I get to spend time on it again.
SWMBO decided she wanted a refresh of the house paint so I have been busy during my 'off' time with Dulux paint, which means modelling has taken a back seat for a bit.
There's a thought! You werent tempted to do invasion stripes in the living room then ?![]()
Cheers SteveLovely work Joe. I just love those stripes.
Cheers TonyLooking excellent joe , shame the SWMBO ministry wouldnt accept the procurement request for the stripes
Cheers LeeBeautiful Bird Joe.
The aircraft is ML407, flown by Flying Officer Johnnie Houlton of 485 (NZ) Squadron on D-Day. Houlton was credited with shooting down the first German aircraft on D-Day, a Ju 88. I have a photo of a diagram drawn by Houlton depicting the Ju88 kill, which I will post on the complete thread.Very nice work indeed Joe
Just wondering what squadron are the markings for they look a bit different to the usual size and spacing?
Geoff.
