My interpretation of the Airfix Alvis Stalwart Mk II (HLMC).
Despite all the negative comments on other forums and reviews, many of these are drawing comparisons to the
Accurate Armour kit which is a highly detailed resin replica aimed at the more experienced muggeler (Sadly no longer available).

I remember these from my childhood, living in Wiltshire the river Avon used to flood nearly every year at Bradford on Avon,
my father used to take me to see the flooding and very often there would be two "Stollies" ferrying civilians over the river. I wanted one.
At military vehicle shows these were always a "crowd puller" especially if there was mud and lots of water.

Building the kit did have one or two challenges but nothing the average modeller cant cope with. I do recommend the Inside The Armour
replacement exhaust cover, shovel, headlamp guards, swim board and wing mirrors. The access hatches in the kit are good but as they are
in the ITA set - I used them. Both are not fixed so can be positioned open or closed.

Painting overall by rattle can - British Army "Deep Bronze Green" with touch ups using Mr Hobby - H60 "IJA Green" - its a very close match.

I wanted to finish it as a restored vehicle, relatively clean and ready to show. Will probably add a little bit of dust and mud at a later date.
Decals used most of the ones supplied in the kit - it takes the monotony off the green !!

Comments welcome good or bad 👍

Paul.

Brilliant work paul , looks excellent , cheers tony

That looks very nice. I find that a lot of reviews on t'interweb are oftest to be took with a pinch of salt. I have seen some really fantastic reviews of kits to find them to be a right pig to build. Films! If the reviews say its a terrible film its usually a real good film.
I digress. An unusual vehicle and very well presented. Nice one Paul.

Now thats a brilliant stollie mate,

the paint work is bang on from some of the pictures I've seen around the net.. top marks mate. (y) (y) (y)
