a couple of years ago i picked this up for the princely sum of £1.25 in a sale in ModelZone.....cant even get a pot of paint for that!.....didnt have much use for it but at that price it would have been rude not to!

another forum im on is having a 'Vintage Airfix GB'......rule is that the kit must have come out before 2000 although recent boxings are allowable......dont get more vintage than this since it was new tool in 1957!!!!....nearly 60 years old.

not much of a parts count, so no idea how long this is going to take but i always struggle with biplanes

Truly vintage, and truly looking forward to seeing the build thread. Nice choice Paul.

Old indeed, but there's great satisfaction from wrestling one of the oldies. Good luck.

Should be fun Paul! ;) I've often been tempted by the newer Eduard WW1 kits, so watching this one will be interesting.

Looking great Paul ! It kind of looks a bit 'Stop the Pigeon!' , what with the scalloped rear edges to the wings and the general cartoon like appearance . "Muttley!!! DO something!!" "Yeh Yeh Yeh , Medal Medal,Medal!"

Nice start, I had this kit and got shut...mainly cos I hate making planes and biplanes just make me shudder...it is like rigging a model ship...brrrrrrrrrrr, gives me the cold chills.
