Evenin` guys,
Well, here`s my offering..... probably the ugly duckling of the GB,but there`s just something about a Huey that has always grabbed me:thumb2:,
Being very much an armour guy, this is obviously way out of my comfort zone, but i just can`t wait to get stuck into it:tongue-out3:!!
This won`t be happening until i`ve finished my Gun Truck mind, although i reckon that`ll be done by end of play Friday night:nerd:.
Anyway, enough of my drivel ...... `ere be pics...........
Box Art........

I got fed up with the pics being turned 90 degrees and therefore becoming hard to see details, hence i removed those affected. It`s the first time it`s happened to me and gotta admit it`s ******** frustrating!! I`ll try and see what i can manage and try inserting them into the relevant spots!:dizzy:
Cheers for now,
Andy

Andy

Bob has found a solution to this issue....a phone setting was too blame....

Check out pages 3 & 4 on this thread ...

Thanks Andrew,i`ve added the pics i edited them on my laptop, deliberately rotated them wrong.... most uploaded to the site in the CORRECT rotation then!!
Got fed up to be honest,i`ll look at Bobs thread thanks.... weird though,as i said,it`s the first time it`s happened to me?!!:flushed:

That looks like a nice kit, I'm looking forward to seeing the progress.

Well then guys,
Some of you might have seen my recent Thread requesting info on how best to overcome etch?!;)......
... Don`t get me wrong,i`ve tackled the stuff in several builds previously, but ALWAYS avoided the really teeny weeny stuff, and,to be honest, struggled with the larger bits sometimes!!:fearful:
Anyway,I have started the Huey,(Well,i say "Started":tears-of-joy:!!),......
...... you`ll see my reasoning for asking about the etch stuff now.........,destructions........
IMG20220204182900.jpg
No easing you into the quagmire ...... just straight in at stage one!!.......
my absolute progress on removing stuff that i`m SURE will be beneficial ......
IMG20220204182922.jpg
Hmmmm, mefinks this is gonna be a LOOOOONG build!!:fearful:
Andy

Looks good Andy. Is that “Ride of the Valkyries “ I can hear in the distance?

Hi Andy
Good luck. I've only ever built one helicopter and it drove me demented. Nice to see the figures included.

HA!! Cheers Tim:thumb2:,
"Ride of the Valkyries" may well end up being substituted with "The death march" on this kit!!:tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

OK then, having watched most of the guys on this GB race ahead of the game this week,I`ve FINALLY got some progress in myself!:anguished:....
.... not loads, and for me,this is quite a task compared to my normal AFV stuff,HOWEVER.... Here we go!!.....
IMG20220206145220.jpg
Hmmmm,"Baptism of Fire" indeed,me being me,i want the crew in,so seat belts need to be carved away, and slots cut,(Thanks for not doing that for me Mr.Dragon:angry: !)....
IMG20220206151045.jpg
A shame really, because,IMHO,if the cockpit was going to be empty i think the molded belts would`ve sufficed!.......
IMG20220209174929.jpg
some funky little etch boxes there,(Not important, but i was just chuffed how they came out!!:tears-of-joy:),and because of trying to work out where the seat belt slots should be,i had to build up a bit of the flight crew.......
IMG20220209162957.jpg
Sat em in the dry fitted seats, marked it up...... and proceeded to cock it up entirely!!.... nevermind,it`ll be ok in the end!:flushed:
IMG20220211164805.jpg
Some initial painting going on there..... and some more on the flight deck......
IMG20220211173107_01.jpg
So there`s my meagre progress thus far.... it truly is going to be a LOOOOONG build!!:dizzy::smiling6::cool:,
Cheers for now,
Andy

So then... I`m making the most of this weekend Benchwise!!;)
Here`s my latest progress, more to come tomorrow,hopefully,...... Put highlights/darkening around the parish, stuck the seats in too!!:flushed:.....

Now,obviously,i ain`t the most skilled Flying fing builder, nor to that matter, great at detail painting,(I tend to go for the more,"Suggestive" look!;)),BUT,it kinda works when you see it properly.
(Roll on me getting back to my beloved AFVs!!),Anyway, there we are so far,and believe it or not,i reckon i can make a fist of this baby!!:nerd:
