After completing the Spitfire Mk IX Eduard now Mk Vb of the Tamiya 1/48.

I have the Eduard PE. How not to get along very well with the PE's plan to only use safety belts and perhaps most two or three pieces.

I have the decals for the FAP (Portuguese Air Force) but I'm still having doubts about the scheme. Once the paint is exactly the same going forward and then make a choice.

The model.

The sprues, PE of Eduard and decals FAP.

Very nice Antonio, looking forward to seeing how you do this one.

Cheers

Thanks for following and for your comments:).

I started the interiors. I glued some PE's. Still do not know if I'll use the dashboard from Eduard.

All ready to start painting.

Thanks Pink Phanter :) .

I painted the interior with Xf-71 Tamiya.

Then some work weathering to give a appearance of use.

Painted the pilot's seat, oxygen cylinders, wheels and rear landing gear.

Right now I have the interiors almost ready, just missing the seat belts from Eduard.

Looking good Antonio. Correct me if I'm wrong but the compressed air bottles(not oxygen) were either silver or black.

Pink and Panthe flyjoe180.

Thank you :) .

Vaughan

Also think so but I saw a model with them painted blue, enjoyed and experienced as after all glued they will not be visible.

Everything ready. Missing just glue the seatbelts.

Not got the decals, glued to PE.

Side panels.

With side panels ready glued the fuselage.

And to have it all.

Very nice.

I'm building the same, but the Eduard one, and I like see the difference between both models.

Ps: You can call me Polux (my name), if you prefer.... Pink Panther is just a nick, Antonio.

Polux.

I finished the Eduard Spitfire for about a month.

In terms of quality (plastic fittings) is, for me, as good as the Tamiya model. In terms of details of the model is far Tamiya, for better. The interiors look like the interior of the model of the Tamiya 1/32 scale.

I'm thinking of buying the Spitfire Mk. Class IX Royall and do the other two versions.

This looks very nice. I haven't built a Spit in ages, that might have to change.
