Any idea as to when old pics can be full image?

As a newbie, when I first saw this I didn't know what you meant. I was waiting for some of the "old timers" on the forum to post an answer. Maybe, like me, they don't know what you're asking.

No idea Jim. When the forum moved lots of the images were shrunk and could not be reinstated. Those images remained that way after the forum moved back to its current format. I believe they are stuck that way, but posts can be edited and some of us have replaced the images with full size from computers etc.

I guess nobody knows obviously.
Please give people time to answer, don't forget most of us are in the UK, you posted at 4:24am.

I have answered this question many times, I have someone looking in to it, he has quite a lot of work on at the moment and it may never be fixed, we do have a backup forum running if people really need their old images

I think I understand now! I only joined in December '25 so hadn't been aware of all these problems with images. I am sure it will be fixed.

Well Chris, you left off cars in your list. I am a car man. The older the better. But having said that, I can appreciate and enjoy the skill and passion behind any build of anything. My late dad was a tank driver in the 50s in Germany. I would like to build something he would have driven, but I don't know which tanks he did drive. He told me once that he was "loaned" to the Americans for a while, so he must have driven American tanks. I should have asked him when he was alive. I wonder if he won my mum by taking her down the dance hall in a Sherman? Not so silly as you might think. A late friend of mine was a WW2 Lancaster pilot. After the war while still in the RAF he borrowed a Lanc to fly over a prospective girlfriends house to impress her. The RAF asked him to leave.

In the 50s in germany it would almost certainly been a centurian...... Cromwell/comets were phased out by early 50s

Likewise shermans would have been gone too..... Murican stuff in europe at that time would hav been like M47/M48.... Maybe M60

Great story….have you ever read Spike Milligan’s memoirs? There is a great story about when he was stationed on a rail gun in Kent. Basically, at night, when the invasion risk was suspended until the next day, they used to take the rail gun down the line to the pub….
