BAE Warrior by Airfix in 1/48 scale

been away from the bench for 2 weeks, time to get back to it, this has been in the stash for too long so its come to the top of the pile, as it were

this is the up armoured version with bar armour as used in Afghanistan

had a coat of paint, next step is some more assembly before it gets a wash

quite impressed.........it really is taking a while to put together simply cos of how many parts there are!

still a weird scale for me cos im used to 1/35......added something for scale

Looking very good Paul, I do like the 1/48 scale kits, I’ve a few of them in the stash now.
 
Can't imagine with being so small that you can achieve something that neat.
 
Well, you got the side screens on top of the turret to sit right - I had to trim mine to get the hatches to open.
What paint did you use for the hull?

yeah but ive still got to work out how im going to add some 'glass'

its Vallejo Air Sand (Ivory) number 71075
 
I started to cut a bit of clear pastic from a CD case, but eventually didn't bother as I couldn't see a good way to attach it.
Thanks for the paint info. Mine is Tamiya XF59 Desert Yellow.

i dislike tamiya paint

ive got an idea for the glass.....some off cuts from when i laminated something, thin and flexible.................and cheap!
 
Doesn't want to be too thin Paul, those are armoured glass on the 1:1.
