Scale Model Shop

'Bang! Thump, thump, thump, slither, squelch.' Kent mud flats. Aug. 1940

I too was under the impression this was a much lager scale, makes it even more special!

Thanks ever so much boys. Much appreciated.

Here's a bit of info. that might be of interest. When a crash landing was inevitable, pilots were advised to jettison the canopy in order to facilitate a quick and safe exit. Some did some didn't. On the Bf 109, not only the canopy went, but also the armour plating and the radio antenna. (courtesy of our departed aircraft guru and mate Steve-(stona), who pulled me up in the nicest possible way when I did a similar wreck a few years back. - And in my ignorance, I had left the canopy in place.... :upside:

Thanks again.

Sorry for the big delay in replying, Fernando. Thanks for your nice comments.

I've had no internet or phone for a few days now (heaven!) Only came back on line an hour ago.

Fair do's to the lads at 'Open Reach' for keeping things going.....

Just seen this beauty mate , superb as usual, the poor bugger is literally up s**t creek without a paddle ! I’m sure the home guard will have pulled him out and hosed him down by now though , he’s probably seeing out the rest of the war in a nice holiday camp somewhere. Cheers tony
