Asda are selling 24 bottles of bud for £13


Sainsburys are selling 15 bottles £11 but have a special offer of two cases for £18 = 30 bottles of beer


Now I bought the sainsburys offer due to getting the extra six bottles for only £5 extra , sounds like a bargain


Until you work out what you get if you buy two boxes at asda for £24


The asda deal works out much better


If 30 bottles cost £18 for 6 extra bottles is a good deal


Then spending the extra £8 for an extra 18 bottles is an awsome deal

Put simply


Sainsburys, two cases £18 = 30 bottles


Asda, two cases £26 = 48 bottles


You get 18 extra bottles for spending an extra £8

Not sure why you've done the arithmetic like that Alan. Much easier to compare the price per bottle:


Sainsbury's - £18 for 30 bottles = 60p per bottle


Asda - £26 for 48 bottles = 54.2p per bottle.

PS and appropriately being in Jersey that is just plain old Jersey sea water. 14% salt.

Yes Joe both volumes are the same at 330ml

Whoops 45% proof (who needs it) not Sainsbury not Asda.


Edradour distillery none of the blended stuff 25 year old malt. absolute perfection


Who is worried about the price two tots and the whole world is yours.


I bought a bottle in Scotland at the distillery. Brought it home. Had a tot each.


II then next day and afterwards (it was a blur) totted the rest.


Phew she was furious. I did no care I did no mind I did drink it all.
