If you were asked to build a model/ models from a scene of a movie, what would you make and from which film?
I think I would to the “ giving the bird “ incident from the first Top Gun. An inverted F14 over a Mig 28. That being fairly easy as I’m just back into modelling.
I can think of loads of Diorama ideas from winding the ambulance up a sand dune in Ice Cold in Alex to the opening scene in Saving Private Ryan.
How about you guys????

I've always wanted to do the scene from Kelly's Heroes,
Where Oddball's Sherman fires the pink paint shell at the rear of the Tiger :smiling3:
Andy

I quite fancy the scene from Tora, Tora, Tora, with the kid on his flying lesson in a biplane as all the Japanese warplanes start to overtake him. Or Guy Gibson on his bombing run on the Möhne dam.

The trenchrun from Star Wars IV, Red 2, 3 and 5 in formation being followed by Darth Vader:smiling:

The scene in The Longest Day where a line of British/American? troops walk along side a wall and a line of Germans walk in the opposite direction along the other side of the wall. I'd have to be a really good figure painter though, which I'm not :tongue-out3:

WELL i think again in kellys heros the scene where all three of them are standing looking down the tigers 88mm gun barrle more like a western with oddball got his hand on his gun in the holster now that in my opinion would make a very good dio

I’d never be able to do it, but the scene from “The Train” where Papa Bull takes the art train through the allied air raid come to mind….

That scene from The Hunt For Red October where the USS Dallas surfaces.
"Fly big D, fly."
I reckon that would be right up Ron's street.
Jim

Also love the idea of Major Pluskat looking out of the bunker at the start of “The Longest Day”..
Pluskat…. ”you know those ships the allies don’t have, well they’ve got them”………
German Commander……”where are they headed Pluskat?”……..
Pluskat…shouting……”STRAIGHT AT ME”…..

If only my imagination is the limit, then U96 being depth-charged, with the attacker on the surface above it — in 1:72 scale :smiling3:

More realistically, probably Oddball’s Sherman from Kelly’s Heroes,¹ a Tiger from Battle of the Bulge² or one of those movie prop tanks that has been extensively modified from some real tank, like the M1 Abrams in Courage Under Fire³ or the Panther from A Bridge too Far.⁴

¹ Yugoslavian M4 tanks with some modifications for the movies.
² Actually Spanish M47 Pattons, and which I have built a model of, ages ago, but it wasn’t very good largely due to being built from memory and me being a poorer painter at the time than I am now.
³ A Chieftain, IIRC, with extensive stuff added to resemble an M1.
⁴ A Leopard 1-V with side skirts and other stuff tacked on.

Bullitt Car Chase Ending ! - The Dodge Charger blowing up in the petrol station, with Steve McQueen's Mustang sliding to a halt in the gravel nearby
