HI Rick you ask what im gonna build next well ive had my eye on HMS CLYDE in 1/48th scale so i may do that as i can get a f/g hull for that an save a lot of work scratchbuilding the hull but how much the hull now costs will be a factor but if i buy that then i can just move straight on to the intrestin detail work of the S/S an such as i would like to finish it before i snuff it an regards the committee like a bunch of minions that would have been very funny to see lol but ive still got too build them to carry cradles for tiger so i'll not be idle an turn into a couch potatoe lol but if i do another build i''ll show it on here so you can all see it thanks for stoppin an your comments RickSSSSOOOOOooooo Mr. Chris, Watcha gonna build next? You know, this being a modeling forum, we all just finish one model and move on to the next. There must be something on your wish list, so let us know.....:thumb2:
Congrats on all them "Dog's" Awards, I'm told Matron had to go around and inoculate the entire Committee with sedatives to calm 'em all down, they got so excited at the news that Tiger was finished, they were running around like a bunch of Minions, bouncing off each other and such.....:tongue-out3::tongue-out2::tongue-out:
AN HI Steve thank you for your nice comments on my tiger build an im very glad you have enjoyed whatchin her come together as at times its been a trial but got through all the probs with all you guys given me inspireation on your comments an im goin to have a rest for a while untill the modelin bug bites again an yes im very pleased at the treble dogs award from the committee that was a shock but a nice one indeedIf I was to say I'm impressed Chris I'd be guilty of major understatement - she is superb! I've enjoyed watching the build over my two years on the forum and I've marvelled at your skill, determination and vision - the 3D is richly deserved, very well done mate!
Steve

AN THANK YOU Neil yes lets hope it is a hearty bon voyage an not a sunk one but i'll make sure thats she's ok as before she sails i will do some stability tests an if she dont pass them then she will not sail as im a bit worryied about how heavy that bridge S/S is an ive tried to build it as light as poss but the wheight is there as its mostly 1mm plasticard an balsa wood an yes we all want to see her sail but will she as she was good in the test tank but a whole lot more has been added since thenCongratulations Chris on finishing this Tour de Force! It's utterly spectacular and as someone else has said it's been a privilege to watch it grow over the years. I wish you a hearty bon voyage for her maiden trip and can't wait to see it here.
an hi Steve cheers for your coments an yes im hopein she will sail okFantastic result ! Superb attention to detail - will look forward to seeing her afloat !
AN thank you as well Joe as yes i really enjoyed building her like i have all my ships over the last 30 odd yrs an yes lets hope for a good maiden voyageBeautiful result Chris, a true labour of love culminating in this wonderful build. I hope it goes well on the water and look forward to hearing about the maiden voyage.
MANY THANKS Garry an yes i am an hope you enjoy workin on IDHi Chris, you should be pleased and very proud of her.
ID is still progressing, just nothing really worth showing atm, it is all small cosmetic stuff like adding the ID on the stern deck, adding aerials, arranging the securing of the SS to the hull, and lots of other small stuff that has to be done to get to the finish line.
I am just about at the railings stage now, so that will be fun.
ATB to you and Jen
Garry
HI Ian many thanks but due to her size its a job to get her in the camera viewer as if i go to far back then none of the detail will be seen but i think i will get out my camera with a wide angle lens in an that way may get most of the detail an all the ships lenght but got to charge up the camera's batt first as it hasnt been used for a whileI look forward to seeing photos of the whole ship when you get her out of the dock yard.
Well done.
MATRON - Chris needs tranquillising!i;ll need some nerve tabs lol

HI Peter many thanks for your kind comments an im glad you enjoyed the build like i did an yes i'll miss fitting on updates on her but like all good thing they have to come to an end sooner or later an i may do another build but i will see how my health is as gettin on now an i dont want to start a build that i cant finish which has happened to a few of my boaty freinds when they cant build anymore due to health probs an if i do do another build it will be with a F/G HULL as that way at least 50 % of the model is already built all i would have to do is fit on all the detail which i enjoy doin as i would loved to have had a F/G hull for my BIG tiger but they dont make one that big in 1/72 scale so it was get plans an do it the hard way of scratch building the hull myself so in realaity she is a one off as there is not to my knowgle another one anywhere in the world unless some one shows me one anywayAmazing!
thanks for posting the build process, it has been an education following the build, just seeing everything which goes into building such an amazing model has been a jo and an education.
looking forward to seeing her afloat, but I will miss the regular updates of the build.
you can be rightly proud of her.
