Please do not look to close, bit too much CA in places and the tow cable brackets got better from the first to last lol

Evening Andy

Very kind sir, even managed to control swearing

Building nicely Bob. Every small bit of detail lifts the build higher. Great stuff.

Hi Bob

Try a tip from NightShift, just a CA glue remover on a cotton bud!

I use black CA now so I can do the removal easier too!!

Looking good either way Bob, and a little extra weathering always covers a multitude of sins LOL

Have fun

Evening Steve

Thats a good tip, planning to do a tired old beast, will try to use a 3D tool clamp to see how i get on, nails are nice and long, for now!

Look the same Chris!!!, extra homework for you sir!

It is going to be a Miag build but out of the build dates for the missing centre bolt. The Takom StuG is the build i am doing with the missing bolt, and you remembered!

Ok chaps been fighting the good fight with a bit of PE.

Added the angle metal attaching the front of the superstructure to the hull

On the rear i have attempted to show that the axe is missing, used 2 parts from the PE and for the first time a 3D clamp in the open position.

Not up to manys standards but as PE and myself do not get on, not to bad in my eyes, would appreciate honest, warts and all feedback!!20201208_123519.jpg

The 3D clamp is well detailed but fragile.

You know the handle/tie loops on the side panel in your last photo? I have seen several examples on the Ausf D of crew putting the S clamps, shovels and axes in there. Might be worth a thought for your axe to add a bit of interest

Hi Steve

Do you mean the lifting thingies on the air intakes and compartment sides?

Good idea, will try not to wreck the axe getting the moulded clamps off lol

Do you think the pe looks ok?? Be honest sir;)

Looking good Bob!

Just started dabbling with large scale PE for the first time on my North Africa vignette and like you I'm struggling with excess PE..

Like Steve I have seen Night Shift use CA debonder successfully but need to order some. I did read somewhere that acetone is the main ingredient and so might give nail polish remover a try instead - I have plenty as I had to buy my own supply after my wife and daughter took exception to my repeated use of theirs!!
