Bowcat's 1/35 Tamiya King Tiger for Simon

Nice colors and paintjob Bob! Looks great :thumb2:

Camo looks fine to me Bob. Remember it was often applied by the crews themselves in the field, without proper thinners etc.

Cheers gents. :)

Got the dots done tonight. Started with the airbrush but found I got better results with a fine brush. Just waiting on some metal paint from John so I can get the cables done

Morning Gents :)

Just a small update, I detail painted the tools, cables, etc and applied the decals (both of them), then gave everything a gloss coat followed by a filter. Now ready to start weathering.

Thanks Colin. :)

I've given it an overall wash of a lightish brown so far which helps tone down the Dunkengelb a bit and helps highlight the Zimmerit. I will be following up with a more localised darker brown pin wash on panel lines, rivets, etc, and some chipping effects. Will post more pics over the weekend when that is done.

Morning gents,

I got a lot of weathering done over the weekend. This mainly consisted of some light chipping, a darker pin wash around the lumps and bumps, some pigments on the exhausts and some minor streaking.

I've held off on applying mud at this stage until I've sorted a base out so that it can be tied together.

On to the figures next.
