Brian's 1/100 HMS Victory

Work so far looks great, by the way. It’s a really iconic ship with a great history :thumb2:

Did some work this morning, after closely looking at work so far I need to give carriages and barrels a second coat of paint...........seem to be getting nowhere fast.

Personally, I’d just pick a shade you are happy with and go with that. Don’t get to tied up over the excact shade.
Agreed, spent enough time at looking for excact colour

Like I said about 20 posts ago. There was 70 odd coats of paint on the examined piece. Pick one.

That's the kind of thing that pushes me into a two builds session. I would go nuts doing that lot in one hit.

Look rather nice that 3D stuff you got.
Could I suggest that you put a side light on when you take a photo...the subject is often hidden by your shadow.

Lots of scraping removing the old mouldings for the admirals entrance and steps, done both sides

Steps done both sides, let it dry and then get the sides together

Potentially more misery for your cannon making - I haven't seen any evidence of cap squares (shaped pieces that secure the sticky-out bits from the barrel (trunnions)) to the carriage - probably work in progress I'm sure but vital nevertheless! Sorry mate :anguished:
