Dropped a booboo forgot to paint the gun port inners red .....going to be awkward now the guns are in
I must thank John (Wotan) for sending me some rope.....all the way from Canada :smiling3: looks good

Going well Brian. For the gunport painting, couldn’t you just slip an appropriate sized tube over the gun barrels to prevent paint getting on them while you tackle the paint job?

That was going to be my suggestion!!

Never throw a Mc D drinking straw away.... lol.
Agree Ian. SWMBO is struggling with me atm.
Just back from garage after a non event service still clutching my freebie coffee!!
Throw it away!! Not until I retrieve the little plastic stiring stick says I!!
‘You’re unbelievable’ she says!!!
You just never know do you!!!

WELL Bri i think it looks very good bit of modelin keep it up as im followin an lookin forward to seein masts go up an any sails ?
chrisb

The vacuum plastic sails with the kit are rubbish and aftermarket sails are too expensive so sorry no sails
Use fine handkerchiefs , blouse material etc, suitably marked up and coloured, and stiffened with dilute PVA - I used that in the past and it works perfickly!

Would silk be ok? If you can get hold of some old parachute silk it could be rolled up and furled or whatever the nautical term is for sailed tied to the yardarms!!!!

Any fine gauge, finely woven material works mate

Hahahaha, I feel I'm suffering from Victory syndrome!!!
Just received my service association bi-yearly mag. Pages of pics of the top table crowd enjoying posh nosh and drinkies aboard HMS Victory.
Am I being sent a message?
I hope not, I don't think the rigging would bare any resemblance to a ship o the line if I tackled any scale kit of the flagship!!

First day back at the bench (been suffering an arthritis flair up in my hip) finding it difficult to sit in a chair so did a little painting and some sanding.

Done a bit more this morning, but I must say this is the worst fitting kit to date. I don't class myself as a good modeler and been fighting this since the start, I must say the shine is wearing off.

Ditto. I would have made a mess of it already while you are successfully building a fine model of what probably is the most famous man-of-war.
