Brian's 1/48 Dkm u-Boat Type Viic U-552 Take 2

Naha deckheads. My bad lol.
I'm guessing that is navy talk for ceilings.
Torpedoes look good.

Hi guys done a bit this morning decided I don't much like Lacquer paints but I'll have to persevere as I have started and won't be able to colour match.

Progressing steady in your usual very neat, organised way. What is it you dislike about lacquer paints?

It's prob me Jim, when I put a coat on I get pinpricks in the paint found out if I put a mist coat on first and several light coats its ok but takes for ages :(

That's unusual, I tend to find lacquers much nicer to spray and much more forgiving than other types.

It's all looking rather excellent though.

Work is slow atm having to wait for things to dry and run out off paint for the deck.

Looking back on Take 1 the weathering was quite heavy. good? or a bit lighter?

First take was good; keeping that area clean had to be very difficult even in peacetime and torpedoes did not belong to the "tidy object" category.

I must confess I rather like them as well.
Great work so far Brian. Take your time and enjoy the build.

It's all looking too clean at the moment but I'll rectify that later when it's going together
