The wife must have felt sorry for me after my man flu turned out to be covid (almost over it) and must have actually listened to me when I was muttering on about how I'm going to shape the masts .......she is a star :)

Finished the gun deck planking, just a light sand and stain required :) next is lining the gun deck port holes and the plank.

Made a start weathering and staining the gun deck a way to go yet but happy so far :)

Started lining the gun ports this morning these are the ones with covers/doors so need to be done before planking, will sand level with the hull once it's dry, gave the deck a second light coat of oak stain too.

Decided the deck is too dark (get the sander out) lol

This is coming along great. You are right about the decks. All captains would have their decks holystoned very early every morning until they were almost white.
