Hi All this is my final reveal of the Tamiya 1/24 Morris Mini Cooper.

Build Summary

I had a lot of fun with this kit. I had to be very careful to ensure the body was not damaged throughout the process to give it that shiny look. I did build the engine but have decided to keep the hood shut, this can be modified later if I wish to do so. The interior was very nicely done I think. The biggest task I had during the build was to use Bare Metal Foil on all the windows and on the sides of the model. This took quite some time. It was the first time I used Bare Metal and am very happy with the results. I also built a scracth built Photo Booth, and once again am very happy with the results. I got some help with the lighting of the photobooth from John, who advised I use LED lights. Boy was he spot on.

I hope you all liked the post. All comments welcome.

Nice one Bob. Not sure about the colour, but hey it's your Mini. Call me a puritan or an old fart. lol I just think that a classic car (that has not had a custom job) should be in a factory colour.
A great build and quick too!

Thanks Ian mate, I'm going to call you a puritan, because I'm pretty sure if I called you and old fart, I'd be kicked off the forum :)  . I like the blue, and the only car I can picture in red is a Ferrari, but yeah each to their own.  its our individuality that makes us human.

In any case a few photos didn't get uploaded for some reason and I can't go back and add them so here they are ... these are the

Final Final Pictures

The underside - was weathered a bit with Tamiya Weathering Master - I used Burnt Blue, Orange Rust and Rust pigments - very lightly
