Hi this is my Toon Churchill 3 inch Gun Carrier MK1(A22D)
The gun casement is scratch built there is a lot of modification work to this kit, I've also upgrade the tracks to 1:35 scale. There are build process photos but not everyone likes toons so it just the finished article.

Thank you for looking in
Pete

Fantastic work Pete.
What's not to love about a Toon.
Ditto that.

They are brilliant and bring a bit of humour to a hobby that can get a bit too serious sometimes..... It's meant to be fun after all!!!

Great work Pete love it ,I think some should just suck it up there here to stay and more popular than many think there their own neich id like to see them in their own class on the comp tables plus the upgrade work you do just shows they deserve to be taken into the modeling world. Dam it I might even have a troll on the net tonight strictly oob but hey bring on the upgrades. Dave. Ps well done buddy please don't stop showing and I'm sure a lot of the lads on here enjoy following your upgrade scratchery.

Thank you for looking in.

Pete fantastic amount of work very well crafted it shows taking the finished build to the next level ,whats up next you must be close to have done the whole series, although saying that you must have more conversions like this one in the locker. Dave

Hi Pete
Toons may not be everyone's cup of tea but as I say they are fun and those WIP shots show the skills involved.
Jim

Pete, another marvellous model !! Thanks for putting up the WIP photos. They show just how much skill and work goes into one of these.
Once again, WELL DONE !!
Cheers,
John.

Hi Dave thank you for your support, what I've done can be done by anyone on this forum it's nothing special, there is 17 in the Toon Tank set and I've built / converted over 50 of these little beauties.
The next two in the pipeline are the Churchill ARK1 and the Churchill Wurlitzer which will be interesting to work out how to do.
Pete.

Pete,
Another cracking build mate. What did you use for the large domed rivets on the casement?.

Hi everyone thank all for looking in and your support.
Pete.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again….there is more modelling and skill in one of these conversions than in any number of out of the box builds. You display a great eye for proportion and detail because you are not simply copying an object, you are interpreting it in a unique way. Just superb work. Truly inspiring.

Well said that man!!

Very nice Pete. Now then, the slightly embarrassing bit, not knowing much about armour, I wouldn't have realised it is a toon.
