Looking good from here. Complex little bugger isn’t it!
All facing the wrong way!!!!!Mike and Jakko kindly sent me some advice on assembling the suspension and running gear. There are a lot of bits that all need to be in the right place at the right time but it went to well without any problems. So thank you guys. this is the end result .
having fun so far.
Scottie
Si, I have asked myself that a few times as well lol.A tank! What are you thinking man :smiling5:
Will enjoy watching you work your magic![]()
Jakko, all seems ok at the moment but still lots of things I can get wrong. The bogies seem to have gone together fine, it’s already starting to look like a Churchill :smiling3:
Graeme, then the rest should be a lot easier......famous last words lol.Looking good Paul, the wheels & suspension are the worst part of this kit!
You could say that mate but it,s all together and it all works.Looking good from here. Complex little bugger isn’t it!
Jim, thanks it was fun.Hi Scottie
Well that's the running gear sorted - looks tidy.
Jim
John, it's not to bad you would have got it together.Have you enough wheels ? good job I'm not attempting it Paul.:smiling3:
Mike, man you had me worried then lol.All facing the wrong way!!!!!
Just kidding :tongue-out3:
Looking good so far, the hard work is done.
Mike.
Given there a lot more cleverer people on here than me. How do I sort on the net to find a particular vehicle I have tried the tanks serial number and unit but can't find anything specific.
As you know I'm not normally to worried about getting things 100% right but the kit has a choice of rivets and bolts and other small parts, and I would like to use the right ones if I can. the instuctions give the choices but not as to which vehicle.
Thanks in advance.
Confused from ward 12.
I was wondering if that was the easier way.I think you’ll probably have to go at it the other way Scottie….find a photo of a Churchill you like, then work through the options selecting those that are appropriate ….
Cheers Steve.
It’s got a lot of AVRE fittings missing though Steve….
Cheers MikeThat's the way to go, different versions had the bolts in different combinations or positions. Check out 79th Armoured Division, "Hoboes Funnies"

I think your right I will probably just go for my normal "if it looks right" method. You’ve basically got three options, I’d say: one is what you suggested, to find information on a specific vehicle; the second, as Tim and Mike say, to begin with pictures of a real vehicle and follow those; or three, to do whatever you like (within reason). If you want a historically accurate model, my advice is the same as given above: take option 2; if you want a representative model rather than of an actual, real vehicle, take option 3.
Hi Tim, A lot of museum items do mate, but it shows the basic nuts and bolts. It’s got a lot of AVRE fittings missing though Steve….
Cheers Tim, the build is going well all fitting together very nicely so far.Looking very good. Nice detail additions as well.
