Hi All, Has anyone had any experience of Classic Airframe kits? I've never heard of them, but I have found a 48th Anson I'm interested in. Anyone got any advice?

They are OK. Not a shake and bake Tamigawa but the results can be very good.

Dry fit every thing twice. Cut the resin parts carefully and check for fit.

On the one I did a while ago (and I believe on the others as well) there are no locating pins, so its clamps and sticky tape. Make sure things are lined up before, during and after glueing up!

I will be buying more of them thats for sure.

someone started an Anson on here a while back, I cant recall who!

I also move this thread to the aircraft chat as maybe more people will see it in the aircraft chat section.

Ive made their 1/48 Hudson which was ok.The interior was made up of resin parts and i had a bit of trouble working out what went where as the instructions were pretty vague. Some one on this forum started a build thread of the Anson.Dont know if they finished it.You could have a search for it.

Thanks Dave, its very interesting. The reason I would like the Anson is that my dad flew them during the war, now you have mentioned they do a Hudson which is the main aircraft he flew during the war. Until today I didn't know they were made in 48th, Thanks very much for the info. Cheers Jim

Thanks for giving me the link. It looks interesting and quite promising, so I might treat myself. Cheers, Jim

I bought the Hudson about ten years ago.Don't know if its still sold. The only other 1/48 Hudson i know of is a vacform kit made by 'sanger'.However,i wouldnt recommend a vacform kit unless you are a bit mad or desperately want a Hudson!.
