Finally finished this fiddly little kit. All OOB except the fuel lines, belts and the rear view mirror. Decals which were sourced from various Ventura sheets. Finished as NZ3705, one of few to survive decades of service with the RNZAF. The Sioux was the first helicopter to enter military service in New Zealand and served in various roles from 1965 to 2013. The real NZ3705 resides today in the RNZAF Museum.

And here it is with it's big brother at the time, the UH-1H Iroquois

Thanks for watching and commenting on the build thread. I enjoyed the build, and thanks to Ian for organising the GB. My next entry will be the later (final) scheme RNZAF UH-1H.

Beautiful clean build Joe ! , Its not an easy build with all that framework and everything being exposed ,especially in 1/72 so top marks. The base is a nice touch and it looks tiny next to the iroq , iruqi, iriuq,.... huey. Now youve done one you'll know what to expect for the next , great job ,cheers tony

Thanks Tony. The new Iroquois will be nicer being the Italeri kit, that one in the pics is the old Hasegawa kit I built here years ago.

Fantastic work Joe, having watched the build thread I know what work as gone into this great little build. And thanks for joining in to make this GB possible mate.

That is really a tiny thing!
Great build and a big thumbs up from me.

Great build Joe. It looks so delicate, I'm not sure one would survive my handling.
